Second Chance Sanctuary

A grassroots animal rescue run by Isla and her mom in Milton, Ontario, dedicated to giving animals in need the safety, care, and second chance they deserve.

WELCOME TO SECOND CHANCE SANCTUARY

Where second chances begin.

Second Chance Sanctuary is a grassroots animal rescue based in Milton, Ontario, run by Isla and her mom with a simple belief: every animal deserves a chance at a safe, happy, and loving life.

We help animals who need a second chance by providing care, support, rehabilitation, and, when possible, finding them loving forever homes.

As a small, grassroots rescue, every animal we take in matters deeply to us. We aren't a large organization with endless resources. We are a family-run rescue built from compassion, hard work, and a genuine commitment to helping animals in need.

Every rescue has a story.
Every animal has a future.
And every second chance starts somewhere.

WHAT WE DO

RESCUE

We help animals who need a safe place, whether they are looking for a new home, need additional support, or simply need someone to give them a chance.

CARE

Every animal in our care receives the food, supplies, attention, enrichment, and veterinary care they need to be healthy, comfortable, and loved.

REHABILITATE

Some animals need time before they are ready for their next chapter. We give them patience, understanding, socialization, and individualized care as they grow and heal.

REHOME

When an animal is ready, we work to find the right forever home based on their individual personality, needs, and circumstances.

SANCTUARY

Our long-term vision is to create a permanent sanctuary where animals who cannot be rehomed can live safely and receive lifelong care.

MEET THE ANIMALS

Every animal has a story worth knowing.

From the moment an animal enters our care, their story becomes part of ours.

Some are waiting for forever homes. Some are still receiving the care they need. Others may need a little more time before they are ready for their next chapter.

We believe animals should be seen as individuals, not numbers. That's why we take the time to understand who they are, what they need, and what kind of future will be best for them.

Please take the time to go to our adopt page and it will direct you to our adoptable animal categories.

OUR GRASSROOTS BEGINNINGS

Small rescue. Big dreams.

Second Chance Sanctuary started with a simple desire to help animals who needed someone in their corner.

Today, SCS is run by Isla and her mom right here in Milton, Ontario. As a grassroots rescue, we are growing step by step, animal by animal, while building something that we hope will become much bigger in the future.

We may be small, but that doesn't mean our dreams are.

Our goal is to continue helping animals in need while working toward a future where Second Chance Sanctuary can provide a safe, permanent place for animals who need lifelong care.

OUR FUTURE

We're building toward something bigger.

We dream of a future where Second Chance Sanctuary can provide a permanent home for animals who have nowhere else to go.

A place where animals can be safe.
A place where they can heal.
A place where they can be themselves.
A place where they will always have somewhere to belong.

We're not there yet.

But every animal we help, every adoption, every foster, every volunteer, every donation, and every person who supports our mission brings us one step closer.

One animal at a time.
One second chance at a time.

YOU CAN BE PART OF THEIR STORY

Their second chance starts with people like you.

Whether you choose to adopt, foster, donate, volunteer, share our work, or simply follow along, your support helps make it possible for us to continue giving animals the care and opportunities they deserve.

Thank you for believing that every animal matters.
