Hello there, animal lovers! I’m Isla MacMillan, and at 13 years old, I’m the proud founder of Second Chance Sanctuary—a passion project that’s as much about animals as it is about dreaming big, thinking creatively, and making things happen.

Second Chance Sanctuary is a friends & family-supported non registered not for profit initiative based in Ontario, Canada. Our mission? To rescue, protect, and give the best possible lives to animals in need—all species, all sizes, all personalities. Think of it as a community-powered, future-forward hub for furry, feathery, and even scaly friends, where every animal gets the care, love, and attention they deserve.

Right now, we’re in the exciting beginnings phase—taking small, smart steps toward a full-scale sanctuary. While our large sanctuary is still in the works, we are already dreaming, planning, and creating every piece of what will one day be a state-of-the-art, multi-species rescue paradise.
